Hagström Book
This book is published by a non-profit association of former Hagstrom guitarmakers, "Balgdraget", which owns the copyrights.

This book enables you to further research into the Hagstrom files. This book includes all numbers of the 128.500 electric instruments manufactured by Hagstrom Ltd during the years l958-l983 when production ceased.

With the help of the serial numbers stated in the book you can find out the year of manufacturing and get answers to many other questions you may have regarding the different instruments. All instruments leaving the factory were stamped on the oval backplate or on the input hookup with running serial numbers. Instruments not carrying one serial number on one of theese two parts are not manufactured by us. (There are a few mistakes in the book, and the numbers of a few runs are not included but this will be corrected in the forthcoming issue).

"The blue book" also includes pictures of different models, such as the first electric guitars and basses exported to the US and Canada under the "Goya" trade name. Hagstrom l2-stringed electric, Patch 2000 with the analog technique and the 8-stringed bass used among others by Jimi Hendrix.

Different models from the Hagstrom manufacturing period is on display at the Guitar Museum where guitars from the first one to the last one manufactured is on exebition. If you go to Europe include a trip to the museum in Älvdalen. For further information see Museum >>
